Issue 10-11(1998-2000) - Tigerlilly and Tigerlan Get a New
Pet
It was a nice sunny
day. Tigerlilly and Tigerlan were walking past a pet shop(You get them in
jungles these days!), when they suddenly saw a notice. It read, 'If you take
care for your pets all next year, we'll fly you all off to a jungle in
Barbados!'(You also get them now!!). They both though, 'How hard can looking
after a pet be?'. Just then Lilly spotted a Pet shop across the road(Don't ask
where all these shops and roads came from!!). They both went in and started to
look around. Lan came up with the idea of getting some fish, but he didn't
know they were pirhanas, and when he went to stoke one, he had his paw bitten
off!! Lilly opened a cage and a bird flew out. She looked up as it flew in
circles around the room. It then pooed in her face! Lan then found a cage with
a sign saying, 'This puppy will grow 10 feet tall, and extremely ferocious is
put in water!'. At the moment it was a cute puppy. He opened the cage, and the
puppy started licking his face. It was adorable. They both agreed to get it!
They set off home, but grey clouds suddenly started to appear in the sky! "Oh
No! Rain... We can't get the puppy wet!", shouted Lan. They both jumped on a
bus, narrowly avoiding the first drops of rain. Just as they were breathing a
sigh of relief, the bus suddenly ended up stuck in a traffic jam(The traffic
in jungles these days is terrible!!). They looked out of the window and
screamed. A sea-life wagon had overturned, and water was heading for the bus.
They jumped through the window, Lilly getting cut on the way out of course,
and landed in a dustbin. "It's still raining!!",(Oh no not the old man!!),
shouted Lan peeking out of the lid. "I know! We can roll home in this bin!!",
shouted Lilly, who like's rolling around in bins! They did, getting very
dizzy(and Lilly kept on being sick!). Eventually they reached home, and it had
stopped raining! "Hooray, We made it!", They both shouted, jumping up and
down... In a puddle!! Tigerlilly and Tigerlan suddenly stopped, and looked at
one another...."OH OW!!"
