The experimental ways
of getting home was originally based upon memories of a strip I'd written some
years earlier. Of course, you have to pretty much ignore all the glaringly
stupid facts in this second part... like how come there's a rocket on a desert
island. Or how come the parts to make a flying bike and a boat are there
in the first place? er... look over there. *runs*
