The 'Projects' as I call them were a strange (ie pointless) idea started in 1998. Every summer, I set some big Tesandco project to achieve. The past projects are listed below, alongside how successful they were.
Project '98
Description: The idea of project '98 was to go through and tidy up many of the comics done in 1996. As becomes clear from browsing some of these pages, the 1996 comic strips were just a rushed scribble. The plan was to either tidy up the colouring if possible, or totally recreate the pages.
Status: Partial Success - out of about 30 which made it onto the list, I did 2. Sam and Vay issue 23 and Lucky and Mark issue 2.
Project '99
Description: I decided to retry Project 98 for 1999. Everything the same as before. Yep, I lack imagination... in case you couldn't tell.
Status: Failure. It never got past the planning stage this time.
Project 2000
Description: The project this year was simple. To get Terence & Co. Online
Status: Success. I launched the first version of the site in May 2000. Okay, so not much has changed since but um..... look over there! *runs away*
Project 2001
Description: Project 2001 was something completely new. I decided to try the Spinoff idea. Basically, ever single comic would have 1 spinoff special, based around the characters or ideas out of it. The plans weren't fully completed, but I did come up with the following:-
Sam and Vay's comic - 'Sam and The Rabbits' - Inspired by issues 32/33
BMSLKL (Not on site) - 'The Old Man Stories' - Based upon an idea from the BMSLKL Radio site.
The Puppies and Kittens' Comic - 'Timothy's Amazing Ship' - Based upon that ship which keeps BOOM... ah nuts!
The Wholecast's Comic - 'The Fantabulous Adventures of Scot' - Following the adventures of Mr Bad Luck Scot
The Under The Earth Comic - 'The Flower' - A comic devoted to everyone's favourite flower
The Dogz Comic (not on site) - 'Kathryn returns to Voyager' - The Star Trek Voyager crew perish in a Red-Dwarfy-sort-of-way, leaving their Dogz (with the same names)to run the ship 3 million years later. Status: Failure. I did start the very first scribbles, however it was then that all the trouble with a certain other person began. That horrible experience pretty much killed off the project. The only bits I did manage were:-
The Flower Fights Back - For 'The Flower' spinoff
Kathryn on Voyager - for 'Kathryn Returns to Voyager', albeit only a few frames
Project 2002
Description: Project 2002 was a totally internet based project. The centrepiece of it were two new sites Space Trek and Thank U Stars. There was also a forum overhaul, and the Amiga version of Strike The Humans to go online. All to be done for August 18th.
Status: Total success. Everything launched on time. Whereas I didn't realise it at the time, launching Thank U Stars was one of the best things I have done in a long time.
Project 2003
Description: 1 year to the day of Project 2002, I decided to do it all again. This time August 18th's target was to:-
1) Redesign TV Whirl - One of my other site's was to be rebuilt from scratch
2) Close Sixthvoyager.net - A long story behind this one!
3) Get all the comic strips up on the Tesandco site.As well as some other...er... things here and there.
Status: Nearly a total success. Most of the stuff was out on time, apart from TV Whirl which followed on the 20th.
